L-3 GS&ES Awarded Subcontract to Sim-G Technologies for ICIDS IV Program
CHANTILLY, Va., July 13, 2009 – L-3 Communications' Global Security & Engineering Solutions division (L-3 GS&ES) won a new subcontract under the 6-year ICIDS IV contract recently awarded to Sim-G Technologies, LLC, by the U.S. Army’s Space and Missile Defense Command in Huntsville, AL. The Integrated Commercial Intrusion Detection System IV (ICIDS IV) is the Army’s physical security system that protects its military installations worldwide. The program is managed by the Product Manager, Force Protection Systems, Fort Belvoir, VA. L-3 GS&ES will provide surge expertise in CONUS and OCONUS fielding of equipment and will also assist in technology evaluation, as well as the laboratory strategy for the program. Other teammates include DRS Technologies, ICx Technologies, Battelle, LESCO and General Dynamics.
