L-3 Awarded $92 Million Task Order by U.S. Army
NEW YORK, October 28, 2008 – L-3 Communications announced that its Global Security & Engineering Solutions (GS&ES) unit has been awarded a five-year, $92.2 million task order by the General Services Administration’s Federal Acquisition Service for the U.S. Army’s Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC). The company will provide architecture and analysis services that will serve as the foundation for joint operations concepts for the Army and the Joint Staff.
Under the task order, GS&ES will support the Army Architecture Integration and Management Directorate (AIMD) and the Army Capabilities Integration Center (ARCIC), as well as other TRADOC centers of excellence throughout the continental United States. The subcontractors supporting L-3 on this program include SI International, Lockheed Martin, 3D Learning Solutions and CAS, Inc.
“TRADOC AIMD has a critical mission – establishing and enforcing policy standards for the Army’s operational architecture community,” said Jerry Bates, president of GS&ES. “Our many years of experience with the best experts in the field, proven architectural processes, and demonstrated performance give us an enduring capability to deliver the highest quality architecture products and services.”
The General Services Administration’s (GSA) Federal Systems Integration and Management Center (FEDSIM) will manage the task order, which was awarded under the GSA’s ANSWER contract.
