L-3 Wins $9.6M Military Equipment Order
CHANTILLY, Va., September 30, 2008 – L-3 Global Security & Engineering Solutions (L-3 GS&ES) announced today that it has won a $9.6 million force protection security equipment order from the Department of Defense.
This order includes a variety of advanced tactical automated security system (TASS) components that form the basis for an integrated security system. TASS is a rapidly deployable, intrusion-detection system protecting military installations by using devices, such as thermal imaging cameras, radars and even mini-unmanned aerial vehicles, to detect and assess threats, and then muster the proper forces to counter. The system is scalable and modular allowing for optimum configuration in order to defeat a determined adversary.
L-3 GS&ES will begin delivery immediately and continue supporting the systems throughout their service life using our Contractor Logistics Support activity.
