L-3 GS&ES Wins Military Equipment Order

CHANTILLY, Va., July. 29, 2008 – L-3 Global Security & Engineering Solutions (L-3 GS&ES), won an $11 million force protection security equipment order from the Department of Defense. This order, destined to support U.S. forces worldwide, includes a wide variety of advanced tactical automated security system (TASS) components that form the basis for an integrated security system. TASS is a rapidly deployable intrusion-detection system protecting military installations by using devices - thermal imaging cameras, radars and even mini-unmanned aerial vehicles - to detect and assess threats, and then muster the proper forces to counter. The system is scalable and modular, allowing for optimum configuration in order to defeat even a determined adversary. L-3 GS&ES will begin delivery immediately and continue supporting the systems throughout their service life using our Contractor Logistics Support activity.
