The L-3 TRU-TRACKER Precision Location System is a highly-accurate, real-time location and tracking system for mining personnel and equipment developed under a competitively-awarded contract from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). Utilizing a “reverse” radio frequency identification (RFID) concept, TRU-TRACKER is tailorable for all mines and is compliant with the safety requirements of the 2006 MINER Act and MSHA policy guidance.
