L-3 GS&ES Employee Referral Program


The NEW Employee Referral Program for GS&ES is effective as of March 24th 2008. This program replaces all legacy programs. If you have a referral reward in process under one of the legacy programs it will be grandfathered in under your legacy program rules.

A company’s employees are often the best source of potential job applicants, so to encourage this sharing of prospects, L-3 GS&ES offers a cash-reward employee referral program. To kick this new program off there will be a drawing for a dinner for 2 for those that refer a candidate that starts prior to July 1st!

Referral Program

Cash bonuses are given for referrals in the following categories:

  1. $1500 for all full-time positions and
  2. $3000 for all full-time positions requiring;
    1. An active clearance of Top Secret and
      above; international positions; or jobs requiring advanced degrees above a bachelor’s or specialized certifications, such as PMP, CCIP, and CISSP.

 

The cash bonus will be paid after the first 90 days of the recruit’s employment and only if both employees are active, with no resignations pending.

HOW TO MAKE A REFERRAL

There are several ways to make a referral: You can direct the candidate to the L-3 GS&ES Web site, where there is an “apply online” option with each job description. The online Applicant Tracking systems application will ask the candidate for a referral source, and the applicant should then enter your name and e-mail address. You can also submit the candidate’s resume via the online employee referral portal. Finally, you can e-mail referrals to GSES.HotJob@L-3com.com.

If HR cannot verify the referral or determine that it was made in advance of the interview/hire, no award will be made.

CAVEATS

The employee making the referral can not use recruiting tools supplied by GS&ES, such as Career Builder; Monster; Ceridian; TechExpo; Militaryhire; and so forth.

To be considered a bona fide referral, the candidate must meet the following six criteria:

  1. will not work directly or indirectly for the employee making the referral;
  2. is not a former L-3 employee;
  3. has not worked as a temporary or contract employee for L-3 in the past 12 months;
  4. is not currently working for another division of L-3 Communications;
  5. will fill a full-time position; and
  6. is hired within 90 days of the referral submission date.

 

Excluded from participating in the Employee Referral program are vice presidents/general managers; vice presidents and management staff; and directors and managers.
